Narai

Narai is a three-year-old, female Thai Ridgeback who came into The Mayhew because of a relationship breakdown. Her new guardians will be taking on a twelve year commitment which must not be taken lightly.

Narai is a friendly and sweet-natured dog , who loves to lick you and snuggle up next to you. She loves having her face stroked and doesn't like being ignored. She tends to ignore strangers until they have properly introduced themselves. She is placid and gentle and careful in everything she does - a real lady. She is very well-behaved off-lead, with excellent recall, travels well in a car, can be left alone for up to four hours daily without problems, and knows basic commands. She doesn't like to sit; so will stand and stay instead. She loves to play with fluffy toys, but her greatest love is physical contact and cuddles with her guardian, preferably on the sofa. She is good with older children, and has not yet been tested with younger ones. She doesn't like other dogs and will avoid them where possible. If another dog bothers her she will bare her teeth and growl in warning. If they continue to harass her, she will snap at them. She will need at least one hour of off-lead exercise every day.

Narai is looking for a loving new home with experienced guardians who have owned large breeds before. This sweet lady will be a gentle and affectionate companion.
