opinions please

Your Opinion please I have made four vanilla sponges, one chocolate (chocolate butter cream centre) and 48 fairy cakes for this weekends golden retriever show, but I only have lemon curd do you think lemon curd centre with a light dusting of icing sugar be to sweet or should I just pick up some strawberry jam and make some butter cream which I normal use, aldi had a offer on cake decorations so the fairy are easy.

thanks for your help, I was going to do a lemon drizzle over the top but forgot the lemons i'll pick them up in the morning, but at least with the cakes filled they will take up less room and be less of a temptation to my lot, Ollie & Gracie know not to jump up at the work surfaces and my four cats have been trained with silver foil not to go on work surfaces but the kittens think anything left on the side is for them so either eat or sleep on ( she says picking fur from a cake, kidding honestly)
