my farm cat

thought youd all like this one its about my cat

my farm cat

A great fat lump marly ginger and white
He has only one ear but thats alright
There he sits on the dairy wall
Waiting for the ladies to come and call

We have a mouse in the kitchen
And it should be dead
But the great farm cat and mouser
is fast asleep instead

The cows are in the milking parlour
The dairies such a clutter
And theres the farm cat
Eating the cream and butter

He sleeps all day
And lazes in the sun
He then comes in for tea
When my work is done

There are four lots of kittens
Over in the barn
No doubt there must be plenty more
In hiding round the farm

I rounded up the kittens
We now have 34
Sleeping in boxes and apple crates
Across the kitchen floor

And wheres the farther of this brood
He's in his usual state
It's the ginger and white farm cat
Fast asleep by the fire grate

Another great Poem Jen he really sounds a character. I had a big orange and white
tom when I was a little girl and he had a shrivelled ear so your poem reminded me somewhat of him he too was a character think he was the father of most of the kittens round where I stayed then most of them had his distictive ringed markings on their tails , in particular there was one grey and white Tom kitten who was his image in different colour but exact markings to my boy
