just met irresponsible dog owner.

Took Ollie out for a little stroll,on way back across field towards house met a lady with two Italian Greyhaounds all our dogs on leads, stopped to have a chat.Man in big 4x4 nothing against 4x4's,with his 3 dogs in,gets out says day I come out without my leads there are people with dogs over here, anyway lets them out no leads 2 large DDB's and a Staffie x.The two little Greyhounds bark and Ollie hides between Mum's legs till knows its safe to come out.The eldest DDb runs over to us the other two he has by the collar and then tells his litle girl about 6/7 to bring this big dog back,so I ended up taking him back and then the other DDB gets away from him and causes havoc,I suggested he ought to bring leads out with him next time,as you never know when you may meet other dog walkers.
Then while loading them one breaks loose and goes to meet another dog.so he leaves the other two in back of vehicle door open little girl in charge while he tries to convince this dog to come to him.Lucky they were friendly.
I don't mind other dogs coming to meet Ollie it is good for him but I do wish people would do it with consideration, not sure if I am shaky because I am angry at his lack of consideration for other people or because I was a little worried over 2 very large dogs I do not know running full pelt at us.Ollie was a star, especially when we took the other dog back to him.
Sorry for the long post.

awww I know what you mean Lynn, it's not the dogs, it's the owners yet again. We had 2 rotties and a staffi charge at us the other week with the owner yelling all sorts of expletives at them to get them to come back to him (which they didn't) we were really worried as you can imagine..they were charging full belt at Saturn who was onlead...turns out they were totally fine...but we weren't to know that. People just need to show some consideration towards other dog walkers.
Hope you and Ollie are okay.
Hugs Ailsa x

ps. how dare you post a new thread ABOUT Oliie...with NO PICS of him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't believe it!!!!!!!!!!!! Tee hee hee!!!!!!

Yet again we have irresponsible owners. What is the world coming too. I'm sick of stupid people who don't deserve to own dogs at all. Think I may buy one of those electronic fly swatters....and not to use on the dogs
Apparently they really sting when whacking them against human skin

We meet loads of them idiots, the woman i was telling you about the other week was out again this week, once a week only i think and again the dog was loose,no recall, causes havoc where ever it goes We have a yorkie that lives two streets away from us that always goes for tyler and is always roaming loose I really do get very annoyed with these stupid morons.
I get very nervous also when dogs approach at full speed, even though tyler could possibly look after himself now,i would hate to see a fight break out.

hi everyone, I think i know how you all feel. My dog is terrible with other dogs despite me trying to socialise her as a pup. I have been unable to find any muzzle she is not able to remove within 30 seconds of seeing another dog! As a result, i have more or less walked her the same route where all the posh houses are and all the other dog owners know us, for the past three years. I know where all the dogs live in the houses and where to avoid. I walk her on a double lead attatched to a collar and a halti. The reason i do this route is because their are so many people where i live who let their dogs roam or walk along off the lead that they just come bounding up to my dog. I have not taken her back into a park since she was a pup, its just not worth it and would be completely irrisponsible of me with the breed i have! However, I love our walks together, but am always checking and listening as far ahead as i can just incase a dog comes bouncing out from nowhere straight into my dogs mouth!
