Look what went over our house yesterday evening.

We went shopping to Tesco last night and got back about 8.15 and look what flew near our house - not one but THREE hot air balloons

This is the picture of the red one landing in a field.

The other two landed behind the Church.

I used to see these regularly on our travels to Kent, as there's a big hot air balloon display just off the motorway and some of them are amazing, all shapes and sizes, depicting different things, like a bottle of budweisser or coke etc. You wouldn't get me up in one of those though!

We sometimes have them landing near our village at this time of year, I think they have to follow the thermals and a Range Rover follows them to pick the people up again to take them home. I think it costs quite a bit too doesn't it to go up in one of these?

Lovely pics of them Foxy - was Benji mesmorised by them??

Yes they looked great but you wouldn't get me up in one of those either - I would be cringeing sat at the bottom of the basket if I was in one I couldn't look over the edge even if it was only 15ft in the air - I am a right chicken with heights

Benji didn't see them fortunately

The red one said Churchill on it so that would be that Insurance company wouldn't it?

Hot air balloons are a common sight hereFoxy-they launch them 5 miles away! I'd love to go up in one cause apparently its so quiet up there in a balloon cause you drift with the wind and theres no resistance.Only thing is cost-about £150 per person and you need to get several others to fill the basket.

up up and away in my beautiful balloon...
