Dirt-trapping mats

Does anyone know if these are any good?
They sound great, but then most products when you're just reading about them. Do they really absorb all the water and mud just by walking across them?
I seem to be constantly cleaning muddy footprints out of the carpets so if these mats really work it would be great

I have one and its brilliant for getting rid of dirt/water from paws and shoes!

When it gets dirty-throw it in the washing machine on a 40 degree wash (no fabric softener-you want it to absorb water!) and chuck it on a radiator to dry!
