Pit Bulls and dog fighting

Our local news is reporting that a man owning and breeding Pit Bulls in Lincolnshire has been jailed for 2 years, they say it is the 10th successful case they have brought. So perhaps the awful dog fighting will at least be diminished.

Not sure what he was jailed for, it sounded as if it was for owning and breeding a pit bull type because they were saying something about it being difficult to know if it was a true PB because they are not a recognised breed. From what I saw they did not look like PB's they looked like long legged Staffies but not very well built, one or two were more like dwarf Mastiff of some type. Sorry but was cooking at the time and only caught bits of it.
