Unless my dreadful memory is playing tricks again, that coloration is called "Blue roan" (???????). Def a favourite here!

Both my Sally (Airleywight Idle Dreams) and my Tina (the "stray") were blue roans.

Sally's puppies emerged in all sorts of colours (Dad was a tri) - from orange roan to tri - not another blue roan in the entire litter of 6!
