It's time to say goodbye...
A puppy is fluffy all velvety sweet
With tickly whiskers and boots on his feet
He wobbles and snoozes
And nobbles your shoozes
And people go 'aaah' in the street
A puppy is scruffy and pinches your biscuit
He keeps you awake and can be ballistic
His teeth are like needles
And sometimes he peedles
A quiet night in ? (now be realistic!)
A puppy is Tyson and barks at the Dyson
You knit and he's cast off the stitches
Your ankles are swelling
But he's so compelling
But what are these bites and these itches?
A puppy is diddy but look at his paws
You give him old shoes but he's bound to want yours
You give him some welly
And then think of training
You wait till his grownup and still keep complaining
But your puppy now bounces and jumps upon you
Scratches the door when he's wanting a poo
He might go Lord Sprockett
when he hears a rocket
And have to be shut in the loo
A doggie gets soggy - creative with dirt
Look at the patterns he leaves on your shirt!
Your tights are in tatters
And next door are catters.........
And doggie is far too alert
A doggie is human a doggie gets bored
He hangs on to bones and your every word
He wants to play tuggy
And sits in your buggy
And sometimes he stinks like a turd
A doggie's a pleasure but not without pain
he makes you laugh yet he drives you insane
But without a correcter
he's Hanniball Lecter
Cats and Chianti again??????
A Puppy's for ever and not for a day
His legs will go bandy and hair will go grey
He might want no walkies
He might lose control
He might just curl up and retreat to his hole
A mutt is a mat and he lays in the hall
You barely see him there at all
You play your part - and up you leap
When all he wants is to fart and sleep
Your dog is aging so let him be
