Is it normal that toy poodle never barks

Just wondering why Asia (toy poodle) never barks. She has barked only 2 times in over a year. Just wondering if it normal. When someone knocks on the door or rings the door bell, she just starts wagging her tail lol.

It depends on the dog. It sounds like its normal for her. My older dog (Dahlia) hardly barked at all when we first got her. People would come to the door and she'd just get up and walk to the door and wag her tail in excitement. Then I taught her how to bark on command. And we got a second dog who has a painfully obnoxious demand bark. And now? She barks. I kind of long for the days when she didn't!

Lol. Your post made me laugh. I work nights and when I walked in the door this morning and let her out of her crate she was crying, she was so happy to see me. Her little voice is so precious to me. I just get so excited with her so I can keep her making her noise. I was raised in a children's home for 14 years and its pretty tough for me to build trusting loving relationships.....except with Asia. She is my perfect little ball of love lol. So maybe if she's never gonna bark, I will be just as happy with her little love cry.

Aww, she looks beautiful. My dog is half a poodle (miniature I think) and barks non-stop at the door. It's a really annoying, high pitched, frantic bark too. You're lucky that Asia is so laid back.
