Trudy - DOB 2004, Staffie Xbreed, Female
Trudy Staffie Crossbreed 2004 East Grinstead Foster
Trudy needs a supportive family to offer time and tolerance to allow their new dog to settle. Trudy needs stability foremost and can live as a solo dog or part of a pack. Trudy is not for cats or small furries. Trudy can be strong on the lead on outset; was an off lead dog away from 'cat encounter territory' NB Our Rescue asks owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters, as dog law changes place dog's lives at greater risk.
Known background: Trudy was found stray/abandoned and unclaimed within a council pound. Her chip lead us to Battersea homed as a young puppy dog to a single man but details of poor health of her owner through a friend. We stepped forwards to offer a Rescue place and save Trudy's life. Trudy was homed in with an elderly gentleman whose daughter had 3 to 4 dogs, who regularly visited and stayed at Turdy's home. Unfortunately Trudy's owner has gone into a care home and the daughter could not take Trudy on due to landlord permission restricting no. of dogs. Trudy is now neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated. Trudy is currently fostered in with 2 Lurchers in East Grinstead.
About Trudy: Trudy has a wonderful easy vibe with people, children and other dogs. Trudy doesn't do cats. Trudy has enjoyed a quiet life and was devoted to her last owner: The ambulance men said they have never witnessed a dog so distressed when they carried her owner out of the house for hospitalisation: Perhaps she knew she was saying good bye for the last time. Trudy has fitted in well in her foster family, housetrained, respectful of resident dogs and furniture and hasn't created any waves. Can be left short periods. Travels well in the car.
Trudy is an 11 year old tricolour English Bullx Staffie with an excellent temperament. Calm at rest in the house, so surprised comments from people who walk her as she starts with 'get up and goes' but then relaxes and loves to explore the extender and notices whatever her companions are interested in. Trudy has worn her teeth down, she loves to pick things up in her mouth. A true Darling with a capital T ! Truly Deeply!
