A dog who was abandoned at the side of a motorway has found a new home.
Hattie, a two-year-old Staffie Jack Russell cross, was rescued by a motorist who spotted her tied to a fence next to the M62 near Gilberdyke in East Yorkshire.
The driver took Hattie to the nearby Jerry Green Dog Rescue centre in Gilberdyke in December last year.
Deputy centre manager Greg Stevenson said: "It's clear that Hattie had been through a terrible ordeal when we took her into care at our centre.
"Thankfully she was spotted by a member of the public and she was brought to us so we could help find the perfect home for her."
