Dog that was run over gets her own back!

By puncturing the tyres of 24 cars!!

A vandal responsible for puncturing more than two dozen vehicle tyres in a quiet Cumbrian village has been unmasked as a dog.

Police received a number of reports of damage over six months but could not track down the culprit, until one victim set up a CCTV camera.

Border Collie Jess - whose owner was unaware she was causing any damage - will be kept on a lead in future.

The one thing that bothers me about that story was the fact that the dog was always walked off lead. In one of the other reports the owner said"

"When I call her she comes straight away. This is why we usually don't walk her on her lead.

"She is such a lovely dog and very spirited.

"From now on though, we will have to start to walk her on her lead. "

However obedient the dog might be, I would have that it is still risky letting it run alongside roads off-lead.
