Morning Dogsey daily thread (Tuesday).

Morning everyone. Well Gorden has come home and du,ped his germs here I now have a sore throat and cold and am drinking a Lem-sip hate the things but I want it too go as quick as it came. I felt ok in the afternoon by the evening wasn't feeling so good.
Gorden is back to London today and having to deal with the idiots by phone about my car. Fingers crossed please it gets fixed and returned later today. If not I think I will go and have a breakdown somewhere living here without my car does not help me at all. I don't use it everyday but its there mostly if I need to get Dillon to a vet or if I need to shop or just fancy popping out for a bit. It is my lifeline.

Helena I hope Dave got on ok last night will he have had the results or does he have to wait ?
Sally I have everything crossed the smell has now gone from your sofa.
Eileen I hope the little dog is found we had a heart stopping
moment here last night tell you about it in a minute.
June I hope the rib is still healing after your hard work and good luck with sons eye appointment today.
Lorraine I hope the bullies now realise Davie is no pushover and sounds like the other children will respect him. I did laugh at the thought of him giving the member of staff his glasses before head butting the bully. Sometimes they need a dose of their own medicine and all the intervention in the word from adults cannot cure them but another person there own age giving a taste of their own medicine cures it.

Last night we had a heart stopping moment just sat down to tea it was dark just gone 7pm and Dillon wanted to go out. No problem let him out went to back to eating tea and I remembered the bottom gate was open. Gorden and I both almost threw our plates down to go into the garden hoping he was still there and there he was at the back door. Phew. He had decided not to go off on one of his garden wanders.
When we took Gordens car out in the afternoon the plan was to bring two cars back so our gate was left open but of course we didn't and Gorden decided to leave his car out the front ready for taking off today.
Beth and Paul's gate at the tops is usually shut but if they go out they leave the top gate open then he would of been right onto the road and the river.

I hope everyone else is well and doglets if not (((hugs))) and feel well soon.

Morning Lynn and everyone

Blimey Lynn, a real heart stopping moment for you last night there, and in the dark too Phew! Sorry to hear you're now snivelling from Gorden's cold, and I hope that flippin car arrives today for you I'd be steaming mad too!

Well! Dave returned home at 8.30 having left here at 7.15 and I told him I was getting worried that they might have whipped him straight in for major surgery cos the hospital is only 5 mins away at the most. Turns out, they didn't even know he was coming!!!! The receptionist said they had no notes on him, NO appointment, no nuffink and he was lucky it was the specialist who was on, cos the other guy would definitely not have stayed behind to see Dave. Sooooo, a phone call to the appointments desk is on the cards from me this morning, let alone the flack they'll be getting from the specialist. They had left a message either Thurs or Fri afternoon last week, and I DID take the trouble to phone them back, speak to the lady and tell her that we would DEFINITELY take that cancellation on Monday night, she said her colleague had already put it on their list, so it's no fault of ours. Blimey, she even gave me the directions how to get to Area C and said they would be ready and waiting for him, AND I got the day right (along with the year lol!) cos Dave was here when I spoke to her and heard the original message. Jeesus no wonder the NHS is in a mess.

Anyway, after a lengthy consultation with him, he is going to be booked in for a scan - yayyyy! This is what we wanted. He thinks he has a problem with ageing neck bones interfering with the spinal cord when he puts himself in the position it doesn't like (under a ramp looking up at a car), basically, something like I've got myself with mine if I look up, cos it gets poked with a protruding vertebrae. Wouldn't it be spooky if we both had the same problem, no wonder we are soul mates lol! Anyway, another 7 month wait then probably

Enjoy your day everyone, can't remember a thing here this morning, but then I have only just got up, having been woken at 5 am and 6 am with Dave's departure

Morning all

Lynn, heart stopping moment when that happens, thank goodness Dillon didn't take it into his head to wander off!

Well not such a nice day here today. Off to work then up to Dornoch for weapon handling tests.

Davie is getting to chill today but after that he is going to be getting some work done.

See you all later

Good morning everyone

'Nother bitterly cold day here and no mountains.

Knitting ladybirds to go atop kids' hats and a thick cabled scarf also.

Worn out with the weather and all, so a bed day again.

Oh Shrove Tuesday... might get some pancakes made later...

Glad the dog did not escape..they need watching like a hawk at times...

Nothing surprises me re medical care etc, It has taken me eight weeks to get a repeat prescription here; told them they were lucky it wasnt heart meds as they would be explaining at an inquest. Had to threaten and start a FORMAL COMPLAINT to get even as far as I did....

Morning Lynn, Helena and fellow members,

IT IS PANCAKE DAY

What a beautiful frosty but sunny morning here ..... albeit blooming chilly I woke my dogs this morning which makes a pleasant change (and how it should be ). This morning I'll walk the dogs and then I am popping round to a friends for a quick coffee/catchup before going on to the dentist for 11. Nothing planned this afternoon so no doubt will be helping my OH in the barn with the clean up

Lynn I really hope you get your car back today and if you haven't heard anything by lunch time I'd be on the phone to them hassling them and doing a 'hysterical-wife' impersonation even if Gorden has already spoken to them. I can imagine how you feel without it ... as you say it is your life line. Have just come back to edit this post because I forgot to mention Dillon and your open gate last night. Maybe he didn't even realise it was open and at least that will always be on your mind every time you let him out now.
Helena OMG what a mess up last night for Dave but at least they have already put him on the list for a scan as nothing can be diagnosed until he's had one done. Enjoy your 'me' day and let us know later what you decided to do.

See you all later and enjoy your day.

Morning Lorraine, Rosebud and Jenny.

Brrrr, sounds like you've still got winter there Rosebud, snuggle up in that bed and keep warm with all those fur throws you've got there

Jenny, enjoy your coffee and catchup with your friend, after your sunny walk with the boys, we have it too, it's blazing through the windows here I will think of you when I'm up top this morning Good luck at the dentist, hope they can find out where that grit's coming from, hope it's nothing terminal for those pearlies of yours and you end up like me with a gummy smile lol!

Off out with Zena now before the school run stars, otherwise I won't get out up on the ridge, it's bedlam after 8 am up there.

Morning

Sorry to hear you feel unwell Lynn. I hope you feel better quickly and that you get your car back quickly too!

Helena - I'm very pleased Dave managed to get seen. I heard something similar yesterday from someone else.

Lorraine - I'm sorry I missed your post about Dave but if he's been busy dealing with bullies, good for him! I will go and look back.

I hope Pereg is okay now Malka. x

It is frosty here but Loki likes this kind of weather. Mind you, his paws aren't great so we won't be going far.

He was hassling me the other day, trying to get my attention and when I told him to "show me", he led me to the car! That dog loves the car so much.

Yep, it's pancake day. I'm not into them myself but the kids like them so I suppose I'll have to make some. Well, Carys does anyway, so she and Steve will eat them.

Take care everyone.

Morning Helena, Lorraine Rose and Jenny.
Helena seems to be nowhere can get anything right lately makes your blood boil. I am glad Dave got his consultation and they will be investigating further.
I can imagine the job Dave does and has done since leaving school maybe has not helped his neck bones at all.
Lorraine good luck with weapons handling and I hope Davie enjoys his chill time.
Rose the ladybirds sound lovely to go atop the hats I had ladybird buttons on a home made dress when small I loved them.
Morning Jenny lovely and sunny here too. Good luck a the dentist and enjoy the coffee and catch up with your friend.

Thank goodness Dillon did come straight to the back door last night when I went to shut our gate the top gate was shut so he would of been contained on the drive but sometimes it isn't. If either of us go out for the day on our won we always shut the gate so when we have left the other one can let him out safely, but change of plan and the car being on our mind made us totally forget whatever made me remember at that precise minute I don't know. Thank goodness I did.

feeling sad re not being a paying member.. maybe take time out a while..Rare I feel lost for lack of cash and this does that, it really does.

Fur throws?? Oh the cats! lol!

Wee dog is constipated again. Feeding her prune juice and praying it does not mean another vet visit as I have E4 in my bank account and the petrol would cost E15

Go figure as they say in the US!

And am too unwell for that drive etc again.

She is eating and bouncy and peeing so it is not like last time. Maybe changing her diet has done this.

Took a long while to unpack the printer; why do they use so much stuff, but at least they are using recyled cardboard baffles instear of polystyrene. Wil make great kindling

Later will sort the installation but it is mostly photocopying today.

Seeing trading not too far ahead and panicking as stuff needs labelling etc etc etc.. it is the finishing that takes the time. The weather wil have to get warmer though as I am too skinny to be out in this cold..

Morning all.
Raining here this morning
Helena I dread having something wrong with me that entails seeing specialists on the NHS. Dave was lucky they did end up seeing him. After him having a day off work as well!!!
Glad Dillon didn't end up going walkabout Lynn He knows where he's well off I reckon. It is heart stopping when that happens though.
Good luck with the clearing up Jenny it must be a huge job for you.
A day in bed sounds a good idea Rosebud especially if it's that cold. Get up to make some pancakes though.
Have a good day at work Lorraine did the lads who bullied Davie get suspended as well. I hope they did.
Nothing much planned here except maybe a trip into town for a few bits.
While it's raining I might have to try Taffy's new coat out. It's not rained since I got it.
