Wot about us?

Last night because there was nothing interesting on the TV I thought I'd go to bed a bit earlier and read a book. Having taken the dogs out for their last pee (in the pouring rain) I then decided I felt rather peckish so made myself a mug of tea and buttered one of the scones I'd made that afternoon. By the time I climbed into bed Chloe and Sashicat were already fast asleep on my bed and Georgina was snoring on her bed which is next to mine.

Settled down to enjoy my book, took a sip of tea and was just about to take a bite of my scone when I became aware of three pairs of beady eyes watching its progress from the plate to my mouth! Chloe and Sashicat were sitting on the bed slap in front of me and Georgie was standing with her chin on my duvet all looking longingly at MY scone. To see them all you'd think I starve them!

How can a mum of three beautiful wheedling daughters deny them anything? I can't, so we ended up sharing it between us .... they kindly allowed me a quarter ... just.

And THEN they all went back to sleep!
