Back from emergency vets with Hovis

Just got back from the emegrcency vets with Hovis as she was sick at 3 pm. She was sick again at 6.30pm about 3x so I rang the guide dgos as she has got 9 2 week old puppies and they said take her to vets and as it was after hours then we went to the emergency vets. She was sick on the way there and sick 5 times at the vets. they had to check what meds they could give her with the puppies. She has had an anti sickness jab. She had no temp or inefction any where and her tummy was soft so no blockage. Calcium also OK. Anyway she camehome and was sick on the way home to.

So please send healing vibes that the meds work as she has a litter of young puppies.

No more sick At the moment. So I am going to try her with a small amount of lectade.

Hopefully it will stay down. The water she drank seems to have done so.

Puppies seem to be fine but the vet did say she didn't have much milk. But I am sure she fed them before she we got to the vets. they sem to be feeding and sleeping so I think her milk must be OK and I have whelpi incase she doesn't. Also they have started weaning so that will help.

A very worried

Sally

She has just threwn up the water she drank earlier. But the vet said she wasn't dehydrated.

So I am worried evenm more now as the water seem to stay down for a bit so hopefully some of it was absorbed.

thasnk for your kind comment Tang

Thinking of you. Has she eaten anything different. Are you walking her at all, as she could have picked a bug up whilst out.
I am so very sorry and hope she is OK soon.

Hi no mastitis they checked also she isn't being walk at all neitehr is Ellen so no outside bugs.

She has been sick 3x more but I am hoping it is just because she drank to much. Other wise I will be back to vets. I am just waiting to hear from guide dogs as to what I should do next.

Thanks for your kind comments

How frustrating that you've gone to the trouble of taking her to the emergency vet to find out, well, that they basically haven't any idea what the problem is?

Oh no - what a worry for you. I will be thinking of Hovis and yourself tonight and hoping that the sickness has gone by morning.
