They started by ripping the pavements up, getting to my frontage on 5 July. After my fishwife performance [they had broken the corners of my ramp and left a 10cm drop down to sand] they dumped some stones to level it so I could get out, and this

has been my temporary way of getting across to the macolet since then [moving the bricks first and then replacing them so the whatever-it-is did not "walk". Of course it is far too narrow to get The Silver Monster out as my ramp/path is 1.5m wide, but at least I could get out on Xanadu.

They have now filled the trench dug at 7am with the stones dumped at 8.30am but until they level it and firm it up [replacing my temporary whatever-it-is] I am sorta stuck - the macolet is is so near but now it might as well be on the moon.

It is a booger, innit!

Have they said when it will be sorted out, I know it is Shabbat tomorrow so you'll need to get stuff from the macelot.

June, Shabbat starts about 7.15pm tomorrow and the macolet will probably be open until maybe 4pm. So they have between now and then to bdooly well make some sort of access for me before then.

They did on the 5th - it took them all of half an hour maximum although I still got stuck as I had driven off the end of the build-up to the side instead of straight out onto the road. That was when the strangers stopped and managed to get me [in Xanadu] out and one of the guys got thick cartons which they flattened and put on top of the stones so I could get back home - that was just before the what-ever-it-is was found in the side yard.

I can sort of see the funny side of it now but I am seriously thinking of taking up drinking so I can get piddled and let all this ride over me. Trouble is, I would have to get to the macolet first to buy some booze, and at the moment of course I cannot get there!
