Only works if off lead dogs can see colours and understand what to do when they see yellow.

It's more for people to know not to approach or let their dog approach a dog with a yellow ribbon. I don't know how well known it is as it's probably something I should do but I've seen 2 dogs in the past week with a yellow ribbon.

I like the idea but feel only the responsible dog owners would know what it meant and they tend to be able to read when you don't want your dog approached anyway. The rest will continue to do as they please regardless. sorry to be so negative. would be great if it did work tho
