Poor Shamus Pointer is not a happy bunny.

And let`s face it, he is generally known as the Victor Meldrew of the dog world - but now he has taken to his bed and is not a happy boy.
After having a major sulk on a walk yesterday, he was left indoors and must have scavenged part of an old shoe (that`s what it looked like when he threw up anyway). So when it reappeared later, he also lost not only his dinner (!) but also his Rimadyl tablet. So he was sore and hungry.
He staggered out of bed in the middle of the night and tumbled half way down the stairs then stayed put till I came and rescued him, then went and sat in the kennel in the garden in a major state of confusion.
I got him in (charging round the garden in a storm in my nightie with a torch being growled at by a recalcitrant gundog is not an experience I recommend) and tucked him up on the sofa with a blanket.
He must be feeling rough because he`s refused breakfast.
Poor Shamus.

Poor boy, not having a good couple of days really is he? hope he begins to feel a bit better later on today though. Do you think it's just a sulk or is he really poorly? Hope you've recovered from your night time excursion too, I bet you looked like Cathy all you needed was a Heathcliffe!!!!!!!!!!!

Cathy as a stout and disshevelled OAP - now there`s a thought.
He has developed the Dire Rear and pale gums so is on bed rest with water plus an Immodium.
I hope he`ll be well tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
