Chews!

Roo loves a good chew. So he often gets a chew of an evening to settle down with. I just wondered what you thought of these chews (health/nutrition wise) and if there was anything else you could recommend?

-Rice bones
-Pizzle
-Paddywhack
-Cows Oeasophgus(sp)
-Pigs ears (although these made him very windy so never again!)
-Filled cows hooves (although these stink!)

Any other thoughts?

Raw cows ears are a hit here. Takes Spen about 20 minutes to get through one.
Stag bar
Raw meaty bones
Stuffed Kong.

I've not found paddywhack, pizzle, pigs ears (although not tried them raw) and most other chews last very long. Never heard of rice bones and never tried mine with cows oesophagus. Mine have all liked the filled hooves but they do stink!

Paddywhack lasts for ages in my house, pizzle a bit less, then an oesophagus.

He regularly loooses his stag bars (which are now no longer on offer in PAH!)

Delibest, available from Zooplus, Daisy loves these, hard compressed venison meat in a large bone shape. They don't stink or leave a mess.

Never heard of rice bones?

Pizzles, paddywhack, trachea, ears are fine IMHO IF air dried rather than what you normally find in pet shops/markets which are deep fried stuff.

Would not touch filled cows hooves with a barge pole!

I give my dog

Air dried body parts from Hollingsworth or Zooplus
Stagbars
Raw bones
Filled kongs

Ooh have googled, it's a deer flavour version of the rice bone! I shall get him a few of them too when we run out of chews!

Antler bars are a great hit with Ted. I invested in 3 of different sizes and shapes and rotate them. He goes to them in the evenings, mostly.
He also gets pizzles and dried tripe sticks (his favourite but gosh it is smelly!).

-Rice bones
The ones from the vets give him slimy green dumps

-Pizzle
Not Found

-Paddywhack
Don't last/ Explosive squits

-Cows Oeasophgus(sp)
Yikes

-Pigs ears (although these made him very windy so never again!)
Given the Paddywack fx not tried

-Filled cows hooves (although these stink!)
Prob a bit big - and given the Paddywhack Fx... Not Tried

Couple more
Stag Bar - Big hit

Raw Hide - Wilkinsons Big hit - no ill fx.

Frozen Chicken Wings - More like Dinner

Edit: Only downside to rawhide for him is after he's been chewing it a bit the office lurcher starts whining at him.

Hmm, ok so I think a lot of the chews I'm giving him are upsetting his stomach.

So, ideas for chews that are good for sensitive tums, frozen chicken wings? Drums sticks??
