I have a similar issue with my Border Terrier so he gets Wainwrights dry and wet mixed together, he's only 8 months old but he gets 1/3 of a pouch mixed in with his dry food and this doesn't appear to have effected his weight adversely

Naturediet is brilliant, because you can open it without feeling sick! I give half of the chicken and rice one at each feed, mixed with Wellbeloved or Burns dry, and she has kept very healthy on it. It helped my dog to get to her target weight of 22kg, and now maintains her weight.
Hope this helps.

Wainwrights/naturediet are the better quality however with the small amount they need, they'd barely have any meat/biscuits without getting fat.
I mix 1/4 tin of butchers in 90grams of biscuits for my 18kg dog and she is doing great on it, I only picked butchers as it's wheat/cereal free and Millie has allergies.

She LOVES tripe!

I feed Arden Grange complete so use their tinned food to add to it.
