*Almost in tears* I found a lump!!

I've found a lump on Jinty! In the centre of her chest, below the neck, right in the centre. It feels smooth, bigger than a pea, and moves a wee bit. I am so scared! :'( Will be ringing the vet first thing in the morning to beg for an appointment. Any advice, please??

My lab had one there, the vet diagnosed it as fatty. I'll cross my fingers for you.

Probably just a cyst, dogs get lumps and bumps all the time and the majority of them, especially in young dogs, are absolutely nothing to worry about.

More than likely a fatty deposit, very common

it's probably just a deposit of fat cell tissues or a cyst. neither are a cause for concern if that's what it turns out to be.

Obvo go to the vet though! but it's probably nothing too serious

Moving is good. My dads old GSD had one and the vet said ones that move are most likely to be benign. Hugs to lovely Jinty

Try not to worry yourself to a frazzle overnight, and with luck the vet tomorrow will tell you that it is just a fatty cyst.

If it moves and is definitely not attached to anything underneath, then it is not likely to be anything sinister.

Give the lovely girl a cuddle from me and Jimmi

I have had a couple of dogs who were prone to lumps and my vet told me as he could put my fingers round them and feel movement they were cysts. I have known them have up to a dozen at a time but not one was ever anything sinister so hopefully little Jinty will be fine. Hugs to you and Jinty, try not to worry

I found one on Jed on his chest but he is prone to them and had a load removed 5 years ago. Try not to worry, it's no doubt nothing serious.

Madison has a lump on her chest which started off small but is now the size of a tennis ball as well as about 20 others that have come up all are fatty lumps but can understand your worry as i worried too when i found them, the vet will hopefully do a fine needle test (aspiration sp?) and be able to put your mind at rest - everything crossed that its nothing to worry about.
