i have problems with my border x lakeland terrier wanting to attack other dogs. i keep her on the lead so as long as other dog owners are responsible it's not a big problem but i am trying to improve her behaviour & what seems to be working for her is i take a bag of treats with me when i walk her. if i see someone walking a dog towards us i stop & get the clicker & treats ready. i start clicking & rewarding before she's even noticed the dog & carry on until the dog is well past. she's too busy waiting for & eating treats to bother about the dog. as others have suggested dog training classes may help but it's best to go along & observe a class without your dog first to make sure you're happy with the methods used. you could also see if some dog owning friends with dogs that won't react could help you out by walking their dog with you & your dog but obviously keeping enough distance between the dogs that their can't be any fights. i know my terrier is much better when dogs are walking alongside her rather than walking towards her & if i had any local dog owning friends i would be asking them if i could walk tiger with them to try to help her
