Groaning

Not sure if this is in the right section, so please feel free to move

Over the last few weeks my goldie is groaning on and off.

Is this of any relevance? I'm concerned that it may mean he is in pain? But have never experienced this in my dogs before. I'd hate to think he was and I'm not doing anything about it

I would take him to the vet for a check up if it's not something he usually does.

Nearly 11, and all of a sudden he seems old. His back legs have been letting him down on and off lately and he's had a short period on metacam- not sure it made any difference though. I just now take him for shorter walks

I think he might have a bit of pain or is uncomfortable, maybe it is better if you let the vet have a look at him... hope he will be ok though... x

I agree that considering what you have said about his age and back legs, the groaning could well indicate he's in pain. If he were mine I'd take him to the vets for a check up and have at least a geriatric blood panel done.
