Heart

Is there enough nutritional variation in different types of heart to make it worth feeding different kinds? I used to feed ox heart but got poultry hearts in my order. Are poultry hearts (obviously being from a much smaller animal and a bird) significantly different nutritionally to ox heart? Is it worth making the effort to feed both? He occassionally gets pig heart too, and lamb if it's reduced

That is a really valid question and havent ever given it a thought really. I feed raw to my 5 and they get heart once a week but it is usually what is in the freezer that I have bought at a good price. Sometimes its ox/chicken/lamb but have just assumed that nutritionally they would all be the same. Be interesting to know.

Pereg has chicken or turkey hearts, which are plentiful. Ox heart is nearly twice the price and frequently has to be ordered specially.
