Wise words

For a well-adjusted personality, a human needs to reside with both a dog and a cat. A dog makes you feel like God and a cat ensures you know you are not.

I'll now go to CatPages to post this as well!

oh yes too true, i also like the saying

You own a dog, you feed a cat

being a cat and dog owner/lover they both have their pro's and cons, but god cats make u work hard for their affections LOL

you see,

I own two cats and in 3 weeks a dalmatian as well!

One of my cats is a true cat and for any affection at all you have to work mega hard and she must be in the mood.
My other cat who is more my cat than anyone else's is a true softie and she acts just like a dog but less dependent. She'll go out etc.

But this is what Smudge my loyal cat is like:

lays on my bed with me until I go to sleep then leaves.

Returns in time for my normal time to arise.

She sits in my room waiting for me to come home from college. Then when she hears the ladder (I don't have stairs) she runs over to the hatch and waits at the top of the ladder for me. As my head enters the room it gets bombarded with kisses!!!

Sits on my knee and puts her paws onto my chest so that she can reach my face and rub tears away with her head when i'm upset

If I am down, but not crying she'll fuss me and then she'll run into the middle of my room do something really daft and funny and the turn round, sit down and look at me to see if I'm any happier

All these are quite cute, but the next lot can get quite annoying:

She sits on any book I happen to be reading.

Sits across my arms when I'm typing so I have limited freedom

Tries to eat my tablets when I'm getting them out ready to take them (I normally take them in bed)

Must change her position on my bed several times before being ready to go to sleep. Unfortunately she decides to change places just as i'm dozing off

But... she's so loyal!
Recently it's been so hot and my room, being in the attic, has been like an oven, so much so I tried to stay downstairs as much as possible but she, despite being a black cat, has been sat up here waiting for me every day!

Lottie and her mad black cat (who are looking to their mad liver and white dog to complete the set!)
