Doing what they are supposed to do ...

Well they say the min pins are a very old breed and were used to catch rats on farms.

Yesterday Bella hunted and caught her first 'rodent' in the fields nearby and proudly brought it back to me ........

But .....

it was a tiny field mouse

And ....

it was already dead

And ....

it looked as if it had been dead some time ...

She did try though

Yuk is about right Brierley! And I had a hell of a job to get it off of her (by then two other dogs were interested in her manky catch) - I flung it into the 'canal' that borders the land there and honestly thought she was going to leap the wall and go in after it! At least it wasn't a hibernating snake!

How nice, a good effort aswell. Now she knows what shes suppost to be doing she may try a live one next time. Today must have just been a practice run.
