Having a big brag

its happened, a dog walked past and phoebe behaved in a normal way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we were walking down the street on way back from playing field about 6.30 this morn when i saw coming towards us a jogger in high vis with a dog. I pooped my slef as these are 3 things that usually get a reaction. I immidiatly did a turn and burn to where the pavement was wider so they could pass us. i put phoebe in a sit a got ready for the tantrum, i had a tight hold and was bracing myslef for the jolting. nothing happened so i took this as an opportunity and shouted back to the jogger could we say hello, he was very nice and interrupted his run and came back for phoebe to say hello. While dogs said hello i was explaining thats shes not aggressive she just gets stupidly over excited so i wont let her say hello as most dogs dont like her stupid manner less greeting. He was really nice and the dogs said a very nice hello. Really hoping this may have taught phoebe is she stays calm she can say hello, but this may be wishfull thinking. As ive been dealing with this for about 5 years and had given up all hope and just decided to live with it than try and change it.

I floated all the way home after that

That's really good! Well done you and Phoebe.

We had similar problems with Izzy when we first got her but it must be a lot more difficult for you as Izzy is tiny in size compared with Phoebe!

(we saw a HUMONGOUS Bull-Mastiff today -it must have been hugely overweight poor thing) Don't often see Bull-Mastiffs around.
