Terry - 3 year old male Patterdale
Terry, Patterdale, DOB 10.08 - Gatwick, Surrey
Homing Requirements: Terry needs a family who have had a terrier recently or understands their fabric. He needs support around his fears such as close traffic. He can get concerned by some large dogs; he can divert his confusion on to you. Only dog probably. Older children only or supervised around visiting children.
His Story: Terry was found stray. His finder thought she'd keep him but he was reactive meeting large dogs on 2 occasions and also grabbed a cat in her garden … cat was fine, but Terry is nursing a sore eyebrow. The rescue centre didn't have the confidence in placing him with the right family and sought our help. Neutered, chipped and vax'd.

Advert: Terry the Terrier - what a Fella! Black Fell terrier indeed. Terry has the looks and the charm. He can seem a little remote, in deep thought but he welcomes handling and affection. He concentrates on his walks and has the swagger of the accomplished 'man' about him. He meets dogs well generally and may have even lived with another dog or 2, who knows. Travels well in the car but concerned walking near traffic. Watch Terry as he will show clear body language so you can support and respond accordingly.
Terry is every bit the Patterdale with a course wire coat and beard. He isn't high energy but he thinks like a terrier and his instincts are his makeup. Homing a 'working type' terrier is a pleasure but needs awareness to understand and accept the terrier mind and protect them from the dangers they can face because of this. Terrier ownership is about mutual respect, loving care and heaps of fun.
