How did you find your pup?

If you got your dog as a pup - how did you find his or her breeder or 'rescue?

Via...
  1. Advert - Breeder advertising/listing the puppies for sale on a site on the internet
  2. Advert - Breeder advertising/listing the puppies for sale in a paper/magazine
  3. Breeder Listing - Got in touch with breeder via a breeder listing on the internet
  4. Breeder Listing - Got in touch with breeder via a breeder listing in a dog related paper
  5. Breeder Listing - Got in touch with breeder via their own website (even if just to get their tel number) directly after a search engine search (i.e. by-passed any of the above)
  6. Breeder Listing - Got in touch with breeder via their own website after someone recommended them (or their website)
  7. Rescued puppy from a rescue centre
  8. Rescued puppy from somewhere else
  9. Other - please specify

Louie 9 - we drove past the farm.

I couldn't vote for all 3 so I just put them here instead, they were all pups when brought home, the exception of Benjie being 9 months old.

Rjj-I contacted the breeder directly no website needed-same with Keewee Although I was gifted both for building websites for the breeder

Jessie & Wukee I have known the breeder for over 30 years & again contacted them directly-not through a website

Roodee came via his mother's breeder who is known to me via Obedience

Maggies breeder was one of the vets at the practise I use...She phoned me to say she had a littler of Boxers, and would I be interested in one of them.......

A local breeder recommend my dogs breeder as she had no dogs due for a good while she was involved with the stud book so i trusted her knowledge ..
I did get the details from the kennels own website and had first contact via that ...

It's 9 for all my dogs, we've been given/bought all our dogs from friends or via friends!

Little One was an unwanted pup from someone on this Moshav so I guess 8 would be the one for her. Pereg was a rescue pup from a shelter so would be 7.
