Lexi - 5 month, female, Black and Tan Crossbreed

Lexi is a 16 week old black and tan cross (with a big dash of rottie) and is currently on foster in Caerphilly .

The Lexi Fact File
Dog Status: Very good
Cat status: Very good
Child status: Excellent can be rehomed with children of any age
House training: Very good for her age
Home alone: Just a pup so only left for short periods which would need to build gradually over time. We do not rehome puppies to full time workers.
Basic training: Very good for her age, knows sit, stand, walk to heel, lay down, wait

Lexi is just about the perfect puppy

She is sweet, friendly, gentle, loving, clever, fun, sociable and entertaining.

Lexi would settle in very well to any new household. She is good with dogs of all ages and is living with other dog in her foster home. She can be rehomed with other dogs or on her own if she has plenty of human company. Lexi can be left alone but this is building up very gradually from short periods alone due to her age. We do not rehome puppies with full time workers as they need company and help with housetraining. She is a gentle dog and could be rehomed with cats.

Lexi is well socialised and ver friendly with people. Her foster family have been socialising her well including taking her to fundraising events where she greets her adoring public. Lexi has met lots of children and would love a new home with children to play with. They would need to be used to dogs as Lexi will be a big girl when she grows up and will of course go through the bouncy adolescent stage.

Lexi's housetraining is coming along nicely, she does have the odd accident which is to be expected with a dog of her age. She is an intelligent dog and has picked up her basic training easily using kind, positive training methods. Like any pup if she is bored or in the mood for action she can chew items she finds lying around so anyone taking her on will need to puppy proof their house as she goes through the teething stage.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered (if over 6 months), vaccinated, flea treated, wormed and micro-chipped prior to adoption. If a puppy is not old enough to be neutered then this must be carried out at the owner’s expense when old enough, and the relevant form completed by the vet and returned to Hope Rescue. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK.
