thanks every one to which pets shibas are very unpredictable off lead as they do have very strong hunting instincts and can be hit and miss on recall i am very lucky that in the 15 yrs i have had shibas my red male does not leave my side and the 3 girls in the pics 2 b/t and the red girl are very food orientated and do come back but i do walk my doggys is a very isolated place.
Not all shibas come back i have to older ones i wouldnt dream of letting them off lead

Same here. Bunnie is good as gold. Lennon, a complete nightmare and was only let off the lead once..... never again.

vickie i let my oldest b/t off lead once when i was on our local beach never again she ran and ran i didnt think i would get her back i was lucky she jumped a break water and landed in a pool of sea water and her face was so funny she looked dumb struck since then she has never been off lead
