Oh the excitement!

Due to various cirumstances Pereg had not been out for gallopy trots for a while, but as she is fairly stable at the moment I thought I would risk it.

Oh the excitement! She knew, she knew, as soon as I filled a half litre bottle of water she knew. She knew, she knew, as soon as I put on my distance sunspecs she knew. As soon as I reached up for the Silver Monster's key she knew!

I am not sure how long we were out and only went around the Moshav, this way and that way - sometimes at full speed, sometimes slower, sometimes at a crawl, but I think we must have covered about maybe 10km which is reasonable for a first time out for what seems to be ages, and I now have one happy and flat out Pereg!

I am just so happy to have been able to take her out!

They love their 'walkies' don't they, and it's so important to their well being, I bet she'll sleep for ages now I'm impressed that you can do 10Km in the silver monster it must have some good batteries.

Fantastic news, I've no doubt it did you good too to be able to get out & get some proper air. Aswell as the satisfaction in seeing Pereg being able to enjoy herself...

Well done to both of you xx

The Silver Monster has a range of 60km on full batteries and his top speed is 17kmh [10.6mph] so he is rather OTT just for taking Pereg walkies! He is by far the biggest, fastest and most powerful mobility scooter I have ever had, but by far the easiest for me to control, and a total pleasure on which to pootle around.

Pereg ignored the little yap yap "minpins" down the road, who came rushing out, waited on instructions while I checked if was OK to turn left [we drive on the right here] and then instantly turned with me. Fair enough she is on a leash attached to the frame of the scooter, but if she did not want to cooperate she could easily end up being dragged along, so it is vital that she does follow instructions.

I think I had almost forgotten how good and reactive she in to instructions when we are out, and whether my instructions are correct or not [wait wait wait, come on come on come on] she understands and follows them.

What else could I ask of her?
