And they said he was ''God''

I just wanted to share this.

When I first met the specialist at Willows Referral Centre where Reah was put together again, the Vets that I worked for ATT said he was ''God'' a man who hated his time wasted, was skilled in his profession, a lecturer of his profession and would only be interested in Reah not my emotional attachments etc and it was his job ...... well how lovely that today I received a hand-written card from him saying

Dear Steph,

Many thanks for your kind letter and photographs of Reah, I will always remember her and have never forgotten the challenging surgery to widen her pelvis and stable her legs.
Reah always did surprise me with how well she recovered and 'functioned' despite the extent of her injuries.
What a fantastic age for a dog!
Im sure you will have many lovely memories to cherish,
Kind regards
Malcolm x

I thought he would like to know about Reah so I dropped him a line........I wish I worked for those Vets now so I could say....look I had a reply from ''God''
Just goes to show doesn't it

Malcolm is a lovely man and I did not find him at all distant when I saw him last year.

What a kind man to take the trouble to write. Maybe he is so focussed on his work that people don't notice this compassionate side to him.

It's lovely of him to write to you like that - people can be surprising sometimes!

I've had a vet write personally to me a couple of times, and it's been really helpful and so kind.

Isn't he, I remember ringing Willows 4 years back with No referral from a Vets, and the receptionist came back on and said....Malcolm has asked if I will transfer you to him....first words out of his mouth were...whats up with my 'star patient' he saw her the next day and Reah being not overly sure about men was being awkward, he had a long conversation with her over her strop it was so funny to listen to what he was telling her

We do indeed Claire, we used to get a Christmas card off him every year for Reah thats another reason why I wrote to let him know what had happened, and I wanted him to know that it wasn't her legs or any other deformity of the accident that had resulted in her death. He did a large piece about her in a lecture that he gave several months later after her operations and has written a piece for studying students on it....so I thought he would like to know what the end results were of his work
