Yes. Pounds put puppies to sleep, though efforts will be made for 'cute' puppies to be rehomed, for many abandoned pups they will be euthanised before they ever really got a chance to live.

Sadly even less chance. Just not enough homes to go round!

All the time over here, if a momma and her litter are in a pound, they will all be pts. If a dog delivers in the pound they will be killed right away in most pounds.

Horrible

They sure do. Lilypups Alfie was a pound puppy at six weeks old and he was saved on the day he was to be put to sleep!

Thats really terrible - all dogs deserve the chance for a good life, no matter what start they had.
If I won the lottery, one of my main plans would be to build lovely kennels, and rehome as many unwanted, last chance, dogs and cats as I could. Maybe I should buy the Isle of Wight or something, as I guess I would need alot of space!

I know it is really sad but the cute fluffy puppies get put to sleep - and the scruffy mutts
they all deserve a chance but in some places there just isnt room for them all
It is so sad
I get stick for Mia being 'pretty' but she was only about 6 months old and she was on her last day too
