Introducing new Baby
Today, Karla (my daughter in law) brought Lyla (my week old grand daughter) to our house for the first time.
I have been to their house lots during the week, but we were unsure of how Molly & Mindy would react. We thought about putting a baby gate up at the door to stop them coming into the living room, but them they could still see us.
Karla surprised us with the visit with the baby (Steven had gone to watch the footie with his mate). I took Lyla from her, and my OH immediately gave the dogs a chew stick to keep them occupied for a couple of minutes whilst we settled with the baby.
They only noticed Lyla when she gave a little whimper. Both dogs came over. Sniffed the top of her head and promptly sat their bottoms on the floor. One on either side of her.
I was a little unsure (Molly being 10 years old and being Mummys baby, and Mindy being 11 months old and being a big dozy heavy teenager).
I AM SO PROUD OF BOTH MY GIRLS
I don't think that the baby gate is going to be needed as an urgent measure
