Jin's tummy :'(

am worried about the Jin. Last 3 nights shes pooed indoor which she had never ever done. Theyre smelly and slimey first day I starved her. She still pooed that night. Yesterday I fed her chicken and rice in tiny amounts AND put her in the crate. She pooed in the crate! It was everywhere! Now what do I do? Vets have no apps, just bleached all her stuff....shes acting normal..... Do I feed her? Do I not?

Fasting would be good.

Electrolytes - Lectade, Synergo in water

Live Yoghurt (must be live eg Yeo Valley), manuka honey, slippery elm food and banana if peckish, contains prebiotics, probiotics, and soothing for gut.

Personally I would never feed chicken and rice to a dog with the squits.

Chicken may contain e-coli, salmonella, campyolobacter which can aggravate digestive complaints.

Rice can be a prime cause of food poisoning

Remember, as long as a dog is drinking it can go a few days without food without being concerned.

defo fasting as smokey says, our sammy had squits over a week ago (it was diet related) we starved him for 24 hrs then small amounts of chicken and rice and is back on kibble only, he's firmed up and happy again. i always boil the chicken throughly through and make sure the rice is over cooked and has always settled sammy down.

I have always fasted for 1-3 days (depending on severity of illness/poos) and then slowly added tiny amounts of cooked chicken and well cooked rice for the next 1-2 days and then weaned dog back onto it normal food.

How logn ago was she wormed and what with? Or have you given her anything out of her normal diet recently?

Could she have picked up something and eaten it while she was off lead?
