Benj's diet

Benj weighed 34 kgs when he arrived, this picture was taken when he had lost a bit

These two were taken this week

He has had a small portion of Burns twice a day----treats of fish sticks and half a bonio, carrots and now he helps himself to cooking apples from outside! He also has a lot of training treats mixed with his Burns when he is trained---so probably once a day but bits and pieces on walks as well.

He was weighed a week or so ago and has lost 6kgs. Still has a bit to go but I am really pleased with him.

Down side is that he now steals whenever he can---not helped by the fact that he is on steroids for his face which swelled up.

I am thinking that he can have one more sack of Burns and then he should be stable enough weight wise to go onto fish4dogs or similar.

Gosh what an improvement, he actually looks like a dog with a shape now instead of a roly poly barrel.

He looks great Much healthier, I bet he feels fitter too. It's hard to get a dog to lose weight, especially on kibble. Found I was feeding Cain pathetic amounts and he still wasn't really losing any weight, fortunately I found it a lot easier to shave a few kilos off when we switched to raw.

Well done you

I think he may be doing more as well. Although he must have got a fair bit of exercise running round and round tractors in the village!

He doesn't have loads but it is spread out a fair bit and he has kongs when I leave him as well. Not hugely stuffed but enough to work on.
