Shadowboxer - another question

Sorry SB to hound you with so many questions!!

I noticed that you mentioned to Gigi about ensuring Archie doesn't eat when he feels like it, by taking the bowl away if he doesn't eat. Is this the same for a wee puppy as well?

Thanks SB

Anyone else who can answer it is more than welcome ( SB would have gone to sleep by now )

Sorry to intrude - I did this from a puppy. If the food wasn't eaten in about 15 -20 mins I removed it. Loki rarely left food untouched though.

Yep Ingrid, dont allow the puppy to get picky, if he doesnt eat it when you put it down like LS said dont leave the food down for more than 15 mins, pick it up and put it back down a bit later, the puppy wont go hungry, but by leaving the food down all day for the dog to go back when it feels like it, will create a picky dog!
hope that helps, sorry im not SB!

I replied to that in the 'puppy brush' thread. Allow a longer time than you would an adult/adolescent dog. Give him time to eat what he wants over a 20 minute period and then take the dish up. Stick to your scheduled feed times whether he clears his bowl or not.
