Interactive Dog Toys

Not sure if this is the right board LOL

But does anyone use the 'Tornado' dog toy, we were away at the weekend & a friends dog was using it (Springer Spaniel) & she was amazing.

We have a Lhasa x Westie & was debating whether to get him one.

Looked fairly robust, but not sure if it would be too difficult for him, he is quite smart at 'finding' treats hidden in an upside down yoghurt pot & between two of them stacked up. Seen the 'Brick' one but thought that might be too easy.

Might pop tp the pet shop tomorrow where have seen one & take a closer look.

Oo I have one of these.. the nina otterson I think it is?

Its quite good, especially for food motivated dogs.
The old GSD (10 yrs) seemed to quite enjoy it although pawed some of the bone things off rather than picked them up.
My little bu really struggles to get the bones off and doesnt seem to understand how it works but is happy when she magically comes across a treat!

The bones can also be good to use as a find the treat game when they are all lined up on the floor.

If your friend has it, perhaps buy a different one and offer to trade them every now and then?

I have a couple of nina ottosson toys I bought a Crufts , one was far too simple and he had it sussed in a couple of mins , the other took a bit longer but he still has fun with both , they are really well made and not too expensive !

I have a tornado---good fun.

You can use a deep cup cake tray and put treats under balls in it----cheaper and also fun.

I got the tornado recently just before Cherry died.
She got the hang of it really quickly but Parker took a while (nice but dim) and Izzy didn't remove the white bones from the game when I left it with her when I went to work the other morning!

You don't want to get them anything too simple though-need a challenge.

We have Tornado which Cain finds pretty easy. We have Twister which is definitely harder and took several training sessions for Cain to understand what he has to do and he still funds it challenging. I also want to get Casino as that looks tricky.

Thanks for all your replies.
Will more than likely go on Amazon & see what others there are, although I want one NOW for him so maybe a visit to the pet shop after all LOL.
