I always joke at my mum's dog & tell him he wees like a girl because he doesn't cock his leg.
I have however noticed that Tilly tends to squat & cock her leg at the same (it's a wonder she doesn't fall over)
especially when out or in rough grass ground.
I think I've now figured out that she does this to avoid getting her trouser fur wet - so quite clever really

If my males (entire or castrated) want to empty a very full bladder they tend to squat, they cock when they mark or are less full.

Two of the collies squat ,one squats with a leg slihtly off the ground but mouse the Papillon has cocked her leg ever since she was 10weeks old...all bitches.

Oh Georgie is hilarious sometimes He has never cocked his leg, and he doesn't squat either, he does this one back leg behind and leans forward, like he's stacking himself, and sometimes he has me in stitches coz he looks soooo poncy!!! Zena just squats normally as any girl should!

Oscar more often than not squats to pee, only cocking his leg if there's actually something to pee up against. But then he lacks confidence, so that probably explains it.

Isla squats as most girls do but scent marks like a boy, in that she will pee tiny amounts in several different places whilst out walking! It's very weird and has only become apparent since she's been spayed, not enough oestrogen (sp) perhaps?

Teg generally cocks his leg, sometimes stretches forward and keeps all legs on the floor.

A female collie at my agility class does a "handstand" to pee, kind of squats with both back legs off the floor!

Alfie normally cocks his leg even if standing in the middle of the open field... occasionally will swap legs half way through
