Just when I thought I had heard it all......

On my way back home from "oop north" today, I stopped by the lakes to give my dog a swim.

As I was sorting out the frisbees, pooh bags, towels and leads a couple with a small child walked behind my car, thus triggering my GSD to inform them that they had crossed the DMZ!

To my utter astonishment I heard the woman turn to the small child (still had dummy in mouth but was walking unaided) "see that dog knows there is a naughty boy near and if you are not careful he will come and get you!"

I was so stunned, that I was rendered speechless............

I had something happen today that I had to double check, its the opposite to yours though, this one was a child who was scared of dogs, and the mother seemed to be trying to change that in her own way. I was walking up one side of the path when the girl and who Im assuming is her mum was on the other side, now I could see the girl was scared but there was nowhere for me and the dogs to go so I thought that the best thing to do would be to walk calmly the other side as far away as we could and draw no attention to the dogs, but when as I walked past I heard the mum go 'for Gods sake they only chase cats, your not a cat are you?' and that one line almost stopped me in my tracks, but beings as the girl was scared I couldn't stop to ask wtf, but I've gotta say its different to what I've heard before.
