Bit chuffed

I was in PAH this lunchtime with Hen, he had to go and say hello to the girls at the vets reception, they all love him and make a huge fuss of him, so he makes a beeline for them when we go in

Anyway, we'd said our hellos and then we wandered off to the food section, when one of the vets came over to us, she said that the girls had said Hen was in the building and she had hoped she would see us again at some point.

I was a bit flummoxed and thought that they had maybe found out something was wrong with Hen and not told me before...stupid in hindsight but I couldn't understand why she had come and found us.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, she wondered if Hen was being bred from as she wants one just like him, nothing else will do, it has to be from Hen She said that, apart from being so good looking , he has the most wonderful temperament and is everything she would look for in an English. I was gobsmacked..I said that his hips are above the breed average and she said that she wasn't bothered by that, she had seen his hips, they are even and she could do a lot worse than having an above the average score.

I told her that there are no plans to breed from him, I could give her his breeders details if she was interested but she wasn't.

Oh well, it made me feel really good about my handsome fella, if a vet is interested in him then he must be a good specimen

Clive said I should have offered her Hen so long as the price was right

Sheree, well that surely is the 'ultimate' compliment don't you think, it doesn't matter how many shows you win or take second or third or whatever, for a vet. to say that to you must be so satisfying. I bet you were grinning all the way home today

Thanks so much everyone

I told Clive when he got in from a job and, before he made his daft quip, I could see his chest puff out with proudness over his boy

I know it's only a little thing but it just made me so very proud

Not surprised you are so chuffed Sheree but the vet's question is not surprising, Henry is such a babe, how could anyone not want their very own Henry?
