Dog friendly cottages in cornwall?

(mods please move if needs be!)

Me and the OH have a week off in august and want to go to cornwall. Its the first time that we are going away just us and looking forward to a well deserved break!

Does anyone have any reccomendations for places to stay? Ideally sub £600 for a week and of course, dog friendly... prefereably a cottage or something rather than a hotel!

Have been looking all week but nothings really caught my eye!!

We've just returned from a week in Padstow, and stayed here...
http://www.holidayinpadstow.co.uk/

Nice cottages, 30 seconds from the harbour, although fairly basic..small enclosed yard in the property itself, dogs no extra charge.
Padstow is incredibly dog friendly though, shop owners leave water outside for the dogs, welcome in most of the pubs (inside) and beaches all year round...you can even take them on the little ferry across to Rock, we even took Maggie on a boat trip around Puffin Island.
Only downside would be if you have a dog who is skittish around crowds and other dogs (there are hundreds, lol)as it can get pretty busy.
Padstow is beautiful though, we had a fabulous time.
If you fancy a bike ride down the Camel Trail you can hire little doggy trailers to attach to the back!

I cant help with the cottage but Looe and Polperro are very dog friendly areas, I'm not sure about the rest of Cornwall though.

We went to Looe last year and couldnt believe how many dogs there were and how dog friendly everyone was.

Have you tried www.beachretreats.co.uk ? We used them in March and stayed in Porth which is north of Newquay. It was a 3 bed house, dog friendly and on a headland with steps down to porth beach. They had a lot of properties but I don't know what the cost would be in August.

We came back from here a few weeks ago, Lebanon Cottage, for the second time and plan to go again maybe later next year.

Brilliant cottage, great village and plenty of walks in the area.

Try http://flushingholidaycottages.co.uk/ they have a number of dog friendly cottages. There is even a page on their site called 'It's a dogs life'. Cornwall is our favourite place to take the dog
