The GSD in the film gladiator..?

The Gsd in the film gladiator.
I assume it was made up to look grey ,.
Anyone know what lines it comes from??

No it was not made up to look grey, GSDs COME in grey.
The dog belonged to Steve Byfield, his name was Jack and he had Schutzhund 2

edited to say this is not the dog in question, it was another one, and I am trying to remember how it was bred I think S Dunn bred it and it was related to mine.......

I know they do ,just thought it was made up to look more wolfy ..lol

I just read that the Romans used dogs to find the gap in fires so they could follow on horseback ...
