Spottie ~ Friendly and Affectionate - 3yo White/Black Greyhound

SPOTTIE

Spottie is a 3 year old ex-racing greyhound girlie who is now finished with her racing career. She is a beautiful white girl with black splodges and has a very pretty face. She is in very good condition and has been well looked after by her trainer.

Spottie is a really lovely dog, very friendly and playful. She loves being with people and is especially happy around children. She loves to play and romp around the garden, and will readily soak up any attention you give her.

Spottie is good with the other greyhounds she has met and loves when she gets a chance to play with them offlead. She has not been tested with small dogs but this can be carried out prior to adoption if required. Often ex-racing greyhounds need a bit of socialisation with smaller dog breeds as they would never have seen them before, and at the start may not realise they are dogs! She is not cat friendly.

Spottie has not yet seen very much of the outside word, and has spent her entire life from birth onwards in the same home. As such new owners will need to be a bit patient during the first couple of weeks and allow her time to settle in and adjust to the changes. It generally takes 10-14 days for new greyhounds to start to settle down in a home, and really all they need is a bit of time and patience.

Like most greyhounds, Spottie will not need a huge amount of exercise. She will be content with two 30min walks a day and perhaps a chance to stretch her legs offlead in a secure area once or twice a week.

This gorgeous girl has oodles of potential and really is a hidden gem, waiting to be discovered by her forever family.

Spottie is currently being kennelled in Ireland and will be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe when a suitable foster or permanent home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. Please note that adopters will need to travel to our nearest collection point to pick her up, and if you are in the UK and wish to meet before adopting her, she will be fostered in the Norfolk area.

Spottie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in adopting or short-term fostering Spottie, please email me for our adoption application form and information pack. Emails are usually replied to within 24hrs. Thanks!
