Billy (Parrot)

Hi,

Just picked a new parrot up for the rescue charity i work for and thought i'd post some pics! He's a senegal parrot and his name's Billy He came from an elderly lady who was a bit scared of him as he kept biting her. I think he probably hadn't been allowed out of his cage much due to him being a but much for her which led to his biting. He was quite happy to let her scratch his head through the bars though!

Anyway, he's been lovely since i've had him home. He hasn't bitten and steps up on command (which the lady said he didnt lol) and he talks a LOT! Anyway, here's a couple of pics!

I have to admit to not being a huge fan of senegals, they have scary eyes! But this one really is a sweetie! I've had him out with me tonight and he's been sat on me all night having cuddles, scratches and talking to me! When i turned out the light in the room his cage is in he said 'night night Billy'! How cute?!

Hopefully, if he carries on the way he is, he'll be able to be rehomed as soon as the 3 week assessment is done!

ohh jessica hope he gets a good home, i have a soft spot for senegals, they are so cheeky and so naughty, sounds like you've sussed him out

oohhh hes lurvely,, although my neighbours african grey took a rather large liking to my OH the other day, so much so tht he ripped his shirt trying to hold on to him ,, did not want to let go, so dnt think its a good idea for us to get one lol
