Have you turned your dog interest in to a job?

I do train clients and do training days/workshops, and when I retire I hope to make a reasonable living from dog training.

Sort of. My first collie pup was bought from a sheepdog trainer, and so I trained my pup on sheep with his help and guidance. Through that I got interested in sheepdog trials and attended the English National a few years ago in Kirkby Lonsdale, near where I lived. There I met my now husband He is head shepherd on a shooting estate in Scotland and so myself and my dogs (the collies anyway ) moved up here and now help out on the farm and with the sheep.

Well, I do pet portraits sometimes. Not a proper job though.

Sort of .... I do feline behaviour cases, but if I relied on the income I'd be homeless & starving

But that's my own fault really as I haven't pushed it as a business & rely on word of mouth & referrals from the local vets that know me. I don't advertise, or have a website. I do it mostly because I love it & because I want to help people understand their cats ~ I'd probably still do it if I didn't get paid!

Also I have a well paid job with a good pension at the end of it so I'd be daft to give that up with only a few years to go. But when I retire then I may consider doing more behavioural work.
