Sky - 2 year old white GSD
Sky is a 2 year old white german shepherd and is currently on foster in Mold, Flintshire.
The Sky Fact File
Dog status: Good but would like to be the only dog in her new home
Cat status: Unknown
Child status: Good, could be rehomed with dog savvy children aged 10 years plus
House training: Very good
Home alone: Sky loves company and would like a new home where someone is around for most of the day. She can be left and is crate trained but is not 100% happy on her own.
Basic training: Excellent recall, knows sit and is learning to walk nicely on the lead
The pictures of Sky really do not do her justice. She was so underweight when she arrived in our care and is slowly building up and blooming into a stunning dog.
Sky is very typical of her breed, she is loving and loyal and incredibly intelligent and perceptive. She also does not like to be on her own for long periods as she prefers to be with the people she loves as much as possible. She has been crate trained by her foster home and has taken to it well but she is never 100% happy when left and would not suit people working long hours.
Sky is good with children but she does like the quiet life and small children would be too much for her. She could be rehomed with dog savvy children aged 10 years plus.
Sky is living in foster with another dog, however, she would prefer to be the only dog in her new home as she likes her own space away from other canines. She is generally good when she meets other dogs out on walks, however, she can grump and move dogs away that crowd her personal space. Further socialisation will need to be continued by her new home. She has not been assessed with cats but she does show interest in small animals and sheep.
Sky is having to learn to walk nicely on a lead as she was a real puller when she arrived. She has been fitted with a gentle leader headcollar and is now walking calmly.
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form should be returned to Hope Rescue.
