Sore lip and metallic smelling breath

hi everyone got a couple of question if any one could possibly help thanks

my 4 year old staffie has good teeth there is minimal tartar he has liquid oral care added to his water and ive just started giving him fragaria. he is very reluctent to let me brush them although i managed to the other day and i noticed when i did his gums were bleeding and ive noticed he has a metallic smelling breath 50% of the time hes fed a raw diet any one any suggestions how i can improve his gums please.

i also noticed one side of his lip is slightly swollen and looks like he has sore chapped lip (upper) could this be due to him sliding in mud and this then drying his lip when after his tennis ball this morning a little bit of skin was hanging off should i put some vasaline on it

thank you

Get him checked out...it could be gum disease (Gingivitis).
It's bacterial , but a vet can tell you if it is, or isn't.
